Space (and other ) Bags & Cats

A couple months ago, I bought a box of Space Bags at Costco, thinking ... "well, these could be handy".  Little did I know.  Given that we have decided on a 20' container, space may become an issue, so I finally tried the large CUBE one.  I am amazed at how much I got in it ... and I may open it up and see how much more I can fit.  Too bad they don't work on hard items!

Bags, other.  As in Pet Carriers.  So we have these two kitties, Sandy & Kiki ... or Booboo and Bubba if you ask Roy ... or Princess & Queenie ... or, well you get it.  I am certain they are both excited about their move to the tropics too, NOT.  Sandy has always been a "skittie kittie", while Kiki is known as the neighborhood "dog whisperer".  We aren't the sort of people who take them wherever we go, so naturally, they don't travel well.  After our last Tsunami evacuation, we found Sandy's fingernails all over the seat of the truck from trying to get out of the wire-door carrier in which we had contained her.  Fortunately, she did not seem to be hurt (except pride), but that incident taught us that wire-door carriers were not for her.  Due to that incident, when we began shopping for "airline friendly" pet carriers, we naturally looked at the soft sided ones. Given the fact that Sandy is poly-dactyl and her nails have grown back with a vengeance we envisioned the mesh being totally shredded by the time we even GOT to the airport ... so the search continued.  Whatever did we DO before "the googles"?

Then, I found the "Bark n Bag" ... I know, sounds like a doggie thing, but I really think it could turn out to be the answer to our problems ( ... she typed with fingers crossed ... ).  We have been feeding cat treats inside them, to habituate, and will try them to the vet on January 3 for their "pre-flight physicals".
What do you think?
